| This is the Yearly Summary Worksheet |
The last day or two I have been busy trying to make myself a spreadsheet to keep track of my expenses this year. Last year, I failed....I started, and then got easily inundated with things, so I quit. He hee........well this year I'm determined to keep a log of my savings/expenditures.
While I was at it, I thought "Hmmm, I bet everyone would like to use something like this"....so you are all welcome to use it, or, if not, that's ok! I tried my best to make something everyone would like - and hopefully I did that. You can change it up if you like, but I think this fits pretty well so far ;)
So lets chat about it a bit.
The "Savings Spreadsheet" that I made has 14 worksheets. The first worksheet (shown above) is named "Annual Summary". This sheet is a roll up of the 12 monthly worksheets. Woot! You need not touch ANYTHING in the Annual Sheet. It has all been automatically programmed for you. When you fill in the monthly worksheets, you will only fill in the highlighted area only.
The highlighted area will automatically fill in the monthly summary total and the annual summary.
There is also a sheet for Rebates - so you can track your submissions. That sheet rolls up and is factored into the Annual Summary also.
I suggest sitting down once a week with all of your receipts and entering them in then. I keep a tray on my desk in my computer area - every time I make a run to the store, I come home and "drop" the receipt in the tray. I then sit down once a week and input the figures.

Hopefully I haven't confused anyone! Go HERE to download the sheet - it should open fine for you. I created it in Excel and saved it as an Excel Macro Enabled Workbook. If it opens up and doesn't keep the right format, I suggest closing, and right clicking on the icon and opening it with Microsoft Works (if you need to!)
Let me know how this works for you. If it doesn't work out for you, or I need to tweak it a bit, let me know that also. It was late when I finished, and sometimes my eyes get sleepy on me! ;)
